Wrapped up a fantastic day at the Hesperia Animal Shelter with team members Oswaldo Iturbide, Bryan Iniguez, and David Iniguez. Flippers were out, shovels were in, as we built some slick new aquatic habitats. Thanks to their efforts, we now have some top-notch aquatic habitats ready for their new residents. It's safe to say the tanks turned out great, and we couldn't have done it without the muscle and brains of these three. Big thanks to the shelter team for welcoming us and to everyone who made it possible. We're in the business of making a difference for our aquatic friends, and today was a win in our books! 🐟🎉 Four Glorious Years at Aquatic Animal Rescue: Where Every Fin Counts! 🐢🥳 Happy 4th Splash-iversary to us at Aquatic Animal Rescue! 🎈 It’s been four years of fishy business, and boy, has it been a wild swim. From penny-sized pals to “Are you sure that’s not a small submarine?” sized buddies, we’ve seen it all. In the beginning, we thought a koi was just fancy sushi. Now, we’re experts in making sure they live the luxe pond life they deserve. And turtles? We went from thinking they were just mobile rocks to understanding the complex lives of these wise old souls (with a penchant for food theft). Our rescue missions have ranged from the heroic (“Yes, we DID use a tiny net to save that fish”) to the hilarious (“Ever seen a turtle outrun a human? We have.”). Each rescue, no matter how small, feels like winning the aquatic lottery. Every time a fish or turtle gives us that nod (or what we imagine to be a nod), it’s like they’re saying, “Good job, human.” Big shoutout to our community—without your support, we’d just be two people with a net in a pond, confusing the neighbors. Your donations keep our tanks clean and our rescue missions afloat. Plus, your encouraging words mean the world to us, even if they’re just, “Wow, I didn’t know fish did that.” As we dive into another year, we’re pumped to see who’ll join our underwater crew next.
