🩺🐾 Trailblazers in Veterinary Medicine  This #WomensHistoryMonth, we celebrate the incredible women who broke barriers in veterinary medicine: 🐶 Dr. Elinor McGrath – One of the first women to earn a veterinary degree in the U.S. (1910), she defied skepticism to open her own clinic and pioneered small animal care. 🐴 Dr. Alfreda Webb – One of the first Black female veterinarians in the U.S. (1949), she co-founded Tuskegee’s College of Veterinary Medicine, paving the way for future Black vets. 🐱 Dr. Lila Miller – The 'Mother of Shelter Medicine,' she revolutionized shelter care and established it as a veterinary specialty, ensuring better treatment for homeless animals.
