ArbCEE is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Martin Magal, head of 𝐀&𝐎 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧’s dispute resolution practice for Central and Eastern Europe. Martin, an esteemed practitioner in the field of arbitration and a founding member of ArbCEE, tragically passed away following an accident at the age of 49. Martin was a vocal advocate for bolstering the region’s arbitration framework, aiming to elevate the visibility of Central and Eastern Europe as a hub for dispute resolution and arbitration. His vision and dedication to ArbCEE were visible from the outset, and the Association’s successful launch event would not have been possible without him. ArbCEE extends its heartfelt condolences to Martin’s family, colleagues, and friends during this difficult time. He will be sorely missed.
