🌳Time for your feedback! Our survey is ready for you via our website or the linked article below. Please let us know what you think about the three design concepts so we can create a fourth, final design. Thank you, Axios San Antonio. 💚 ---- "Plans for Arboretum San Antonio are taking root, allowing residents to weigh in on features they'd like to see in the tree sanctuary, which is expected to be the second-largest in Texas. Called a "museum of trees," the arboretum will provide outdoor activity space and serve as a destination for the Southeast Side. Arboretum San Antonio hosted a feedback session last week showcasing three concept plans for the site, which was once the Republic Golf Course." https://lnkd.in/gBNuV-Bc

🤍A majestic Great Egret takes off into flight from our arboretum lake! Great Egrets are a dazzling sight in many North American wetlands. Slightly smaller and more slender than a Great Blue Heron, these are still large birds with impressive wingspans. They hunt in classic heron fashion, standing immobile or wading through wetlands to capture fish with a deadly jab of their yellow bill. In the late nineteenth century, Great Egrets were hunted nearly to extinction for their plumes, sparking conservation movements and some of the first laws to protect birds. We are so glad to host this Great Egret - a beautiful sight to see! 📷 Oscar Williams, Photographing the USA
