About us

The Arizona Research Center for Housing Equity and Sustainability (ARCHES) is co-located at Arizona State University's Morrison Institute for Public Policy and the University of Arizona's Drachman Institute. The center is a collaboration across four universities: ASU, UA, Northern Arizona University, and University of New Mexico. The mission of the center is to become the hub for research addressing housing as it intersects with security, climate, and health in Arizona and the Southwest. The establishment of the center was through a HUD grant which includes 19 research projects conducted by over 20 university partners over the next three years. The center aims to create connections between research and practice and values place-based research that is community-engaged, equitable, evidence-based, and solution focused.
