Dr. Dave Markowitz, chief data and analytics officer and deputy chief information officer for the U.S. Army, joined a panel discussion with Alexis Bonnell, chief information officer and director of the Digital Capabilities Directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory, to address the significance of data and innovation in the military. Markowitz highlighted efforts to reduce barriers to accessing authoritative data and sharing it with mid-grade leaders and their teams to improve problem-solving at the point of need. He also emphasized the importance of business processes aligned to support a disconnected warfighter and ensuring the Army enterprise can provide the tactical warfighter with the right data, even in austere and contested environments. #AUSA2024
