Today a few members of our team attended NAMI Greater Toledo’s African American Leadership Initiative Summit! The topic was Mental Health & the Trauma of Domestic Violence in our African American Community. Thank you for the conversation, and for providing valuable information to help us better serve our community and clients!

On Saturday, Chelsea, Norine and Phil, attended Clash of the Contractors an event held to bring awareness and support for 2 Tuff 2 Talk, an organization whose mission is to support construction workers and their families navigate mental health issues by providing education, resources, and guidance when needed! We are proud and honored to partner with 2Tuff2talk! They are passionate about helping those within the construction industry!

A very special thank you to, Mariah, Executive Director of NAMI Greater Toledo for speaking to our staff about a Stigma Free Workplace! One in Five adults experiences a mental health condition each year, this can have an impact on a persons everyday life! Mariah educated on how we can show support to each other, resources available, encouraged non-stigmatizing language, and be open to conversation within our workplace! Tim, Chelsea, Phil and Norine, spent the afternoon out at Uptown Green Park last Wednesday for Operation Bridge, a community resource event aimed to provide immediate linkage to services for substance use, mental health, homelessness and more! We had a great time with other community agencies, and were fortunate to have the opportunity to educate individuals on our programming. A special thank you to Lucas County Sheriff's Office DART Unit for organizing this event for our community!
