ICYMI, read today's post-elections message from Camilla Taylor, ASBN's new executive director:
Figuring out what to say post-elections took quite a few iterations. It lead to some powerful conversations about the role of American Sustainable Business Network in protecting the business voice during the coming years. With one party having unchecked authority over our regulatory landscape, there are some hard realities we'll need to face as a community . Regardless of the political moment, ASBN is and will continue to be the path forward to the new economy. My pledge to you is that over the next four years, ASBN will be the voice of common sense and critical thinking. We anticipate that there will be numerous proposed regulations and policies that will affect small to medium businesses. With your support, we promise to: -Advocate for those policies that are in the best interest of a new, just and sustainable economy; -Host virtual gatherings to discuss how this new political landscape can be navigated and see that businesses are educated to advocate for themselves; -We will work hard to fight and block laws that are unjust, anti-business and anti-sustainable and responsible economy; and lastly, -When new and challenging regulations come, we will work with our community to find the best ways to move through them together while also holding true to our shared values.
