If you haven’t already, we encourage you to listen to the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Society of America’s latest podcast on ensuring older adults have access to age-appropriate vaccines. This comes ahead of this week’s CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) meeting where the committee is expected to vote on lowering the age-based recommendation for the pneumonia vaccine to age 50 and older. This policy change would go along way to simplify and broaden access to those most vulnerable to respiratory disease.
