JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant is the main link between the patients and the provider. The Medical Assistant provides care and related services to patients in the clinic. Education & Experience: Successful completion of a Medical Office Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or Certified Medical Assistant program, or the equivalent in training preferred. Previous CMA/RMA experience preferred. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Accurately obtain and record vital signs and pertinent observations of patient visit. - Prepare patients and be readily available to assist provider.             -Follow physician orders to perform and/or assist phlebotomy, sterile procedures, diagnostic procedures and other procedures within the scope of practice. - Collect and process specimens. - Facilitate patient flow.                                        - Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas. - Communicate with patient by telephone and confer with provider. - Educate patient who have special needs.                                    - Maintains Laboratory records and patient results. - Monthly checks of medications for expiration dates. - Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and telephone skills. - Attends staff, educational, safety, and training meetings. - Abide by policies and procedures of AMH. - Performs other duties as assigned. CT/Radiology Technician Hours: 1st shift (6:30am-7:00pm), Friday-Saturday-Sunday OR 2nd shift (6:30pm-7:00am), Wednesday-Tuesday, 7 days on, 7 days off Position Summary: To operate computerized tomography equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by Radiologists. The essential responsibilities are to be able to operate the department’s CT scanner as prescribed by operation manual. Awesome position in the Appalachian Mountains of NW North Carolina!
