***FUNDING ALERT***   Now in its 10th year, the #NewYorkUrbanLeague in partnership with the Hispanic Federation, CACF: Coalition for Asian American Children and Families, and Asian American Federation, provides capacity-building support through the Communities of Color Nonprofit Stabilization Fund (CCNSF) to Black, Latino, and Asian-led community-based organizations throughout New York City. Over 600 projects have been funded to date. Thanks to continued support from the New York City Council, we are pleased to announce the release of the 2025 Request for Applications. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS   Eligibility requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: ·       Have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and a history of at least two years as an incorporated nonprofit, including faith-based institutions. ·       Be a New York City-based, direct social service organization that serves primarily (75%+) New York City residents (i.e., not an association or a re-granting or referral service). ·       Have experience serving and currently serve communities where 51% or more of the population are people of color. ·       Have an operating budget of at least $150,000 and a maximum of $3.5 million. Organizations with budgets OVER $3.5 million will NOT be eligible. The Asian American Federation is thrilled to announce the launch of Ballot Builder! This innovative and nonpartisan voter education tool is designed to activate Asian communities in New York ahead of this November’s general election. Asian Americans are the fastest growing electorate in NYC and an increasingly powerful voting bloc that can decide elections up and down the ballot. However, Asian New Yorkers often have lower registration and turnout rates, and immigrant communities with limited English proficiency are particularly vulnerable to election disinformation. That’s why we’re partnering with Branch Politics to launch Ballot Builder, a first-of-its-kind online platform in New York. Tailored to Asian American voters, it provides personalized information on candidates and ballot measures in English and eight additional languages. Available in Arabic, Bangla, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Punjabi, Tagalog, and Urdu, Ballot Builder helps break down language barriers to empower Asian voters with the facts they need to make informed choices about our future and our democracy.
