🥗 Pecco had over 500,000 users as of 2023. There are three reasons why Pecco was able to make a big impact in the red ocean market, where it is difficult for new services to penetrate. 1. Branding to differentiate: AI to help clean out the fridge and make meal recommendations → It utilizes AI to recommend recipes that combine ingredients from your fridge and home. → If you keep entering your food data, you can also make customized diet recommendations. → Furthermore, it also helps users save money and positioned itself as an eco-friendly cooking recipe app. 2. Acquire new users: By lowering the hurdle for cooking, Pecco targeted the beginners. → The app makes it easy to cook with ingredients you already have at home, reducing the burden of grocery shopping and buying new tools. → Pecco was able to target the beginner segment, which has the largest number of users who are new to cooking. → There's even a “Microwave Recipes” category in the app for beginners. 3.Increased Retention: Becoming a lifestyle-friendly cookbook → The more I use it, the more it personalizes the data for me. → The more you use it, the more customized the recipes and suggestions for what to eat next become. → It became an app that I use in my daily life naturally. *Writer : Kim Jin 👇 Read the full article about Pecco and its business strategy to grow as a rising cooking app in Japan!

In 2013 I was paying for a hot desk at a co-working space in Hong Kong called Cocoon. Cocoon was more interested in incubating start-up companies than selling office space. Because of this, they offered free ‘business analysis’ meetings. Someone asked me if I wanted to take one so I said yes. I talked with a woman called Joyce who I think was an executive at a diamond company. I told her about the games I had been making. 🤷♀️ “How do you know how well a game will sell when you’re making it?” 💁♂️ “I have no idea, you just make it and see” 🙋♀️ “I see, well then I think you should try to increase the speed you make games. Now it takes you three months to make a game, but if you can get it down to one week you’ll be able to have more chances at success” This was an interesting idea, and I wandered around thinking “How can I make a game in a week?”. The problem is I needed to get a lot of art assets made. Things like music, voice acting, animation, concept art, background art and writing. Could I make ten games at once? Probably not, I didn’t have the money or the project management skill to do that. Around that time Tinder was a really popular app and I was thinking: “Could this app be turned into a game? What about a game that’s basically a Tinder simulation?” 👇 Check out the "Journey in Coding" of Angus Cheng and discover insights about app development and entrepreneurship!

🔍 Industries where AI technology is being adopted very quickly and without much resistance include finance, academia, and law. These are all industries that rely on processing and analyzing massive amounts of data. Because of the overwhelming efficiency and accuracy that AI brings to the table, these industries have been rapidly embracing change despite some concerns. ✔️ J.P. Morgan has developed an AI-powered contract analysis tool called COiN, which uses machine learning algorithms to fast-track the review of thousands of pages of contracts, which the company says can be completed in seconds, compared to more than 360,000 hours of manual work for the same number of legal and financial contracts, and with a significantly reduced chance of error. ✔️An article by AI solutions developer Imaginovation highlights a McKinsey & Co. study that found that nearly a quarter of lawyers' work could be automated with AI technology. The adoption of these AI tools is bound to reduce human input and revolutionize the speed of decision-making. *Writer : Dana Jeong, CEO of 누틸드(nutilde) 👇 Read the full article and discover the insights about leadership, team building and change of HR with the rise of AI !

1️⃣ I believe the entrepreneurial ecosystem is evolving. Having lived in Asia for a while, I've witnessed remarkable growth in Singapore and now followed by Thailand. Both countries recognize the importance of building an entrepreneurial ecosystem for their overall economy. 2️⃣ Additionally, they have realized that entrepreneurship can be a viable career path for students. In the past, graduates typically sought jobs or pursued further studies. Now, students can start their own businesses, reflecting a shift in the perception of entrepreneurship as a valued career option. They become job providers, not job seekers! Q. How is AIT adapting to the changing ecosystem to support students interested in entrepreneurship? 👇 Read the full interview article with Prof. Dieter Trau 陶 諦 德 here!
