Promo Pros Aid Devastated NC Communities in the Wake of Helene Stephen McFadden, CAS of The Specialty Company (TSC, asi/341203) was among those taking action and encouraging support. As reports of the devastation began pouring in, McFadden knew he had to do something to help, not least of all because a co-worker’s father lives in Morganton, NC, another locale impacted by severe flooding. “We were extremely fortunate,” McFadden told ASI Media. “There are many others who weren’t, and we wanted to help.” Through his own personal donations and working his local community network, McFadden raised several thousand dollars he put toward purchasing essential supplies, including water. He loaded up a U-Haul and then headed west to Morganton on Sunday. This is more than business—it's about compassion, community, and using our resources for good. Every act of kindness counts, and we're incredibly proud to see how the promo industry rallies in times of crisis. Christopher Ruvo

Branded Merch & Swag Expert | Your partner in creating sustainable & anti-boring branded merchandise | Specialist in Print-on-Demand Shop Set-Up | NYC Marathoner | Go Getter
This is the story about how businesses with services you don’t want to use — like the vet 🐾— can use branded merchandise to lighten the mood and bring joy. Branded merch isn’t just about getting the word out; it’s about creating joy in spaces where it doesn’t usually exist. 💨 I’m reading “unreasonable hospitality” right now at the recommendation of many colleagues. While I’m early in the book, the main idea seems to be that going above and beyond your customers’ expectations is an enormous benefit for your company as a whole. It builds fierce brand loyalty and a deep feeling of satisfaction among employees. ➡️ Branded merch is the easiest way to bring joy to your customers and your team. ⬅️ Here’s how: 1️⃣ Create branded merch that is clever, beautiful, and / or joyful 2️⃣ Cultivate a culture of gifting, which creates strong bonds between customers, team and the brand This frisbee from my vet is so delightful. 🥰 Have you ever seen a company turn a “chore” service into something fun with merch and swag? I’ve seen this with cleaning companies before. What do you think?

Fashion, Politics, and Union Power: A Unique Intersection The story of Unionwear.com (asi/73775) in Newark, NJ, is a testament to the powerful intersection of politics, fashion, and labor rights. This unionized manufacturer has not only provided high-quality products like "MAGA" hats but also stood as a symbol of American labor and craftsmanship. While political divisions run deep in the U.S., Unionwear continues to serve clients across the political spectrum—showing that the American workforce and its values transcend partisan lines. Unionwear.com has become an emblem of how industries like fashion are influenced by political and economic landscapes. It's fascinating to see how a single company can produce products tied to such a polarizing symbol while championing fair wages, workers’ rights, and sustainable practices. In an era of division, Unionwear (asi/73775) stands as a reminder that American labor is at the heart of progress. https://lnkd.in/ePr8BsT9 🖋️ The New York Times #MadeInAmerica #LaborRights #FashionAndPolitics #Leadership #Business

🚨 Supply Chain Alert: East/Gulf Coast Port Workers Strike Disrupts Operations The ongoing strike by East and Gulf Coast port workers is sending ripples across the global supply chain, leaving businesses scrambling to navigate a critical disruption. As key ports face shutdowns and delays, industries relying on these shipping hubs are feeling the pinch. What’s Happening? This strike, fueled by stalled contract negotiations, has resulted in significant slowdowns at major ports. The result? Lengthy delays for goods awaiting import and export, intensifying the pressure on industries already grappling with global supply chain instability. 💼 Impact on Business Operations For companies in the promotional products, print, and distribution sectors, the timing couldn’t be worse. With the holiday season just around the corner, businesses are bracing for potential shortages, missed deadlines, and increased costs. The backlog created by port closures is threatening to throw off production schedules and client commitments. 📦 What Can Businesses Do? Now more than ever, companies must focus on proactive supply chain management. Here are a few steps to consider: 1. Diversify Suppliers: Relying on a single supply chain route is risky. Expanding your network of suppliers and shipping partners can provide critical flexibility. 2. Adjust Lead Times: Expect delays and plan accordingly by extending production timelines or exploring alternative shipping routes. 3. Communicate with Clients: Clear, honest communication with clients about potential disruptions can help manage expectations and build trust during challenging times. Is your business feeling the effects of the strike? How are you managing the disruption? Let’s discuss strategies and share insights on how we can navigate this together.
