🎉 Amazing feature of Ask Silver in the Daily Mail and This Is Money! 🎉 I never dreamed of having such a big feature in such a huge publication after just four months of having our product live. Thanks to Jessica Beard for the kind and thoughtful interview/article. 🙏 If there is one thing that I want anyone reading to take away, it’s that “𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐬”. As a society, we all need to be smart enough to recognise that 𝒂𝒏𝒚 of us could be, and probably will be, scammed at some point. ⚠️ Scammers are getting better, attention spans are getting smaller, and we need to be more vigilant and more educated than ever before about their tactics and how to avoid them. This may be controversial, but I believe that it will soon be impossible to rely on our human intelligence and intuition to stay safe. 🔧 We need technology and tools to do the work for us, and I hope Ask Silver is just one of many companies and initiatives that can join the fight that a lot of people and organisations have been in for years. Scams come at us from everywhere: text messages, emails, phone calls, letters in the mail... Ask Silver aims to become a shield that keeps them all at bay by making sure they never reach you. Aimed primarily at elderly people, co-founders Alex Somervell and Jonny Pryn have begun by building a WhatsApp chatbot that you can use to check any scam you receive, and report it to the relevant authorities with a tap.
