  • This week's Nurses Night was a blast! 💥 Nurses Night is a quarterly meeting where we discuss procedural updates and award staff for their accomplishments. Last night Jeremy reviewed proper patient observations and rounding procedures, Vjollca taught us how to hold effective group sessions, and Rachel covered intake stats & updates. In our breakout sessions, we reviewed... 📆 Upcoming activities and events 📖 SOPs and milieu management 🍎 Patient nutrition and snack protocols 💨 Nebulizer use and respiratory assessment skills ⏲ CPAP, suction machine, and incentive spirometer use 📋 We also trained on the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol (CIWA) protocols—a questionnaire that measures the severity of an individual's alcohol withdrawal symptoms—and the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS)—a crucial tool used to rate common signs and symptoms of opiate withdrawal and to assist in medication and treatment procedures. Nurses Night isn't all business, though. We also like to show our staff how much we appreciate all they do. ❤️ We gave away lots of prizes, and we topped off the evening with some delicious banana splits! 🍨 #AGBHCares #NursesNight #LearningAndGrowing #Teamwork

  • Exciting things are happening at Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital! ✨ We’ve been painting and remodeling our lobby. Here's a stunning, aspen-inspired, vinyl wall mural we just installed this week. Stay tuned for more updates as we transform our space into a welcoming and comfortable environment for our patients and visitors. 🌳 Did you know that aspen trees symbolize community, connection, support, and growth? They are part of a larger organism with an extensive root system. Much like this system, our success is based on partnerships formed with both the community and the organizations that serve it. Our ongoing mission is to educate, connect and provide mental health support to individuals and families. Since 2011, we've expanded our specialized programs and services at multiple levels of care. As the needs of our community grow, we’re prepared to grow and adapt. If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, or any other mental health issues, we can help. Find out more by calling 801-852-2273 or walk-in anytime. We're open 24/7 and offer a no-cost, level of care assessment. #AGBHCares #Community #Connection #NewLook
