Providing a strong, unified voice for the intermodal trucking industry at the Port of NY & NJ
About us
The Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers currently represents a majority share of port and container traffic at Port Newark, with more than 170 trucking and trucking-industry related member companies doing business there. The Association is dedicated to serving the interests of its members in Intermodal Transportation, especially at the Port of New York-New Jersey. Although our name may imply that we’re strictly based in New Jersey and New York, our membership spans many other states, including Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, Michigan, and California. Our member companies may be diverse geographically, but we are all united in one common goal: to promote the success and profitability of intermodal transportation at Port Newark. The Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers will continue to advocate on behalf of its membership, working closely with Terminal Operators, Shipping Companies, administrators at the Port Authority, and the Legislative bodies of New York and New Jersey to protect and promote the interests of trucking and trucking-industry related companies.

Thank you to everyone from the intermodal transportation community who attended our Member Appreciation Breakfast on Tuesday, where we provided a recap of 2024 and a look ahead into what 2025 has in store. We also appreciated the insights shared by Federal Maritime Commission Chairman Dan Maffei, and look forward to continuing engaging with him and the rest of the FMC Commissioners in the months ahead. #supplychain #trucking #transportation #drayage

ICYMI: Bi-State President Lisa Yakomin weighed in on California's withdrawal of its waiver request from the EPA, and the potential ramifications for the trucking industry nationwide in light of the expectation that President Trump will take a more measured approach to reducing emissions. “'We’re looking to the incoming administration to get in there and put in some guidelines that make sense for reducing emissions and for setting standards that are actually achievable,' said Lisa Yakomin, President of the Association of Bi-State Motor Carriers, which represents truckers that haul containers to and from the Port of New York and New Jersey." https://lnkd.in/deYtdXDx
