🚛 Driving Sustainability: OLGA’s Biodiesel-Powered Heavy-Duty Vehicles! 🌿 As part of OLGA’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of airport operations, we’re experimenting with OLEO100 biodiesel—a 100% rapeseed-based biofuel. This initiative led by Groupe ADP aims to power heavy-duty vehicles at Paris Aéroport - Charles de Gaulle (CDG) sustainably, demonstrating that innovation and green energy can work hand in hand for a cleaner future. 🔍 Objectives: -Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Lower the carbon footprint of airport operations by switching to biodiesel. -Improving Air Quality: Reduce pollutants to enhance air quality around the airport. -Providing a Sustainable Alternative: Offer a viable and ecological substitute to fossil fuels without compromising vehicle performance. 🔧 Progress: Essential vehicles, such as sweepers and degreasers, have been selected for the OLEO100 biodiesel trial due to their intensive use in airport operations. The experiment showed that these vehicles operated effectively on biodiesel without significant modifications, maintaining comparable performance to traditional diesel-powered machines. Encouraging results include reduced environmental impact and smooth vehicle operation. 📊 Key Figures: -11-Month Experimentation: Conducted from September 2022 to July 2023 -50% CO2 Emission Reduction: Significant contribution to decarbonisation -Fuel Consumption: Slight increase of 8-12% due to lower energy density of biodiesel -Comparable Maintenance Costs: Maintenance remains on par with diesel-powered vehicles Check out the full innovation description here: https://lnkd.in/d468wshV #Biodiesel #OLGAInnovations #SustainableAviation #GreenAirports
