    In celebration of National Woman-Owned Business Month, we want to highlight one of our success stories: Sweet V's Candy Shop. Virginia Betancur, driven by a vision to create a family-operated business, embarked on an entrepreneurial journey with her daughters. Their dream took shape as a candy store, and after securing a location, they sought guidance from the ASU-SBDC. With the help of Senior Business Advisor James Leavelle, Virginia was able to successfully navigate the intricate landscape of business initiation. In its creation, Sweet V's Candy Shop created five jobs and boasted a substantial capital infusion. Through their partnership with the SBDC, Virginia and her daughters transformed a vision into a flourishing reality, embedding themselves as not just entrepreneurs, but as integral contributors to their local economy and community.
