sweetgreen is now open in Uptown Charlotte, NC! This marks the company’s first North Carolina location. The 2,479 SF space is located at 101 North Tryon Street. Like all Sweetgreen locations, the Charlotte store will serve creative salads and bowls with many locally-sourced ingredients. On its opening day, Sweetgreen donated a meal to local nonprofit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina for every meal purchased. Whole Foods Market is now open in Hyannis, MA! We attended the store’s bread-breaking ceremony last week as it opened its doors to the public. The 42,560 SF store is a relocation of Whole Foods’ previous Hyannis store with Whole Foods stating in a press release, “This larger store allows us to offer a more elevated shopping experience.” Located at The Landing, a recently redeveloped shopping center, the store’s products include more than 370 locally sourced items from across New England. Tokyo Central is coming soon to Emeryville, CA!   The Japan-based grocer and retailer will be located in the Bay Street Emeryville redevelopment, joining over 50 retailers and restaurants, including AMC Theatres, Barnes & Noble, Inc., SEPHORA, and Shake Shack.
