Atlantic Shores is disappointed by the EPA’s decision to pull back its fully executed permit as regulatory certainty is critical to deploying major energy projects. We stand ready to deliver on the promise of American energy dominance and have devoted extensive time and resources to follow a complex, multi-year permitting process, resulting in final project approvals that conform with the law.

About us
Transparency, accountability, and reliability - that’s what Atlantic Shores envisions for the future of offshore wind. We are committed to playing a role in transforming the Atlantic Coast with wind energy. Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, LLC is a 50:50 partnership between Shell New Energies US LLC and EDF Renewables North America. The joint-venture was formed to develop a portfolio of offshore wind projects within a New Jersey Wind Energy Lease Area. The projects, once developed, will help meet New Jersey and New York’s ambitious clean energy goals. Together, EDF Renewables and Shell have years of technical, operational and commercial energy experience needed to develop an offshore wind project of this scale. Their combined expertise gives Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind the ability to deliver enough energy for nearly one million homes.

A new poll from The Tarrance Group reveals bipartisan support for offshore wind. Significant majorities of voters across 12 states support offshore wind projects and agree that offshore wind is good for U.S. energy independence, job creation, and economic growth! Turn Forward’s Executive Director, Hillary Bright, said, “These results confirm that the majority of Americans believe offshore wind has an important role to play in American energy. Voters across the country are concerned about rising costs, job opportunities, and national security. They understand that offshore wind energy is American energy, which strengthens our independence, supports high-paying jobs, and creates critical new revenue streams for local communities and economies. Our policymakers should pay attention to these results and support offshore wind projects that advance the United States’ energy diversity and bolster the nation’s energy security at a time of significant global change.” Support is high across the board – including in red states like Texas and Louisiana. The survey found that states with direct wind energy experience, offshore or onshore, register strong support. Massachusetts, Virginia, and Texas all demonstrate high favorability for offshore wind energy, showing that public confidence and support continues to grow as offshore wind projects expand. When voters were provided with information on offshore wind energy’s economic benefits, support increased significantly, even in traditionally skeptical states. In fact, in 11 out of 12 states, support grew to over 70% of respondents. Other notable findings include: - 64-65% of voters all 12 states favor offshore wind projects in their own states and in U.S. waters generally - 58% of Republican voters support incorporating more renewable energy in general into their state’s energy mix - 68% of all voters agree offshore wind makes the U.S. more energy independent - 76% of voters believe that offshore wind energy provides lucrative jobs that don’t require a four-year degree Read more about the results here: https://lnkd.in/eg_P_thM

Atlantic Shores is committed to delivering New Jersey's first offshore wind project with the unwavering support of our industry and labor partners. Together, we remain steadfast in delivering Atlantic Shores Project 1 and powering more than 700,000 Garden State homes.
The recent executive order halting offshore wind lease sales in federal waters not only presents a significant challenge to New Jersey's clean energy goals but will also adversely affect the people who live and work in communities like Paulsboro, where the New Jersey Wind Port was anticipated to employ hundreds of residents. For the EAS Carpenters, these projects represented decades of stable, good-paying work for our members and the industry as a whole — ensuring consistent employment, financial security, and the ability to reinvest their earnings back into their communities. With the President making moves toward investing in AI infrastructure, all forms of energy—traditional and non-renewable alike — will be required to power America's future. We will continue to support these projects and deliver the union-built quality and reliability that New Jersey depends on. Our union has always prioritized training a highly skilled workforce prepared to meet the evolving demands of the energy industry. From wind turbine installation to heavy infrastructure, our members are equipped with the certifications, expertise, and hands-on experience to build the future of energy. No matter the source, EAS Carpenters will continue to power progress—whether through traditional energy projects like oil and gas or the next generation of renewables, including offshore wind, solar, hydrogen, and emerging technologies. Our commitment remains the same: building with skill, integrity, and excellence. #UnionStrong #RenewableEnergy #CarpentersBuild #NewJersey #OffshoreWind
