Over the weekend, Audubon Aquarium said goodbye to Frosty the barred owl. Audubon Aquarium made the difficult decision to humanely euthanize our 28-year-old barred owl that was experiencing declining health after a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. Frosty came to the Aquarium in 1997 and was a remarkable ambassador for her species creating empathetic connections with everyone who came in contact with her. This extraordinary animal was beloved by staff, volunteers and guests alike.
