Today, Governor Phil Murphy signed a bill (S2311/A1128) that requires criminal background checks for applied behavior analyst licensure applicants. The passage of this legislation is a tangible demonstration of the Murphy Administration’s and the Legislature’s commitment to consumer protection. Thank you to Governor Phil Murphy, Senator Troy Singleton, Senator Robert Singer, Assemblyman John DiMaio, Assemblywoman Michele Matsikoudis, and the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs for their efforts to enact policies that protect individuals with autism.
