With #backtoschool at the top of many of our minds, it is important to pay extra attention to pedestrians and bicycles. Many of our #AICC members have #vehicles on the road, and it is critical to slow down and pay attention for pedestrians and bicycles on the #roads. A good read about the important role of nurse case managers in the #workerscompensation process. One of their main goals is to assist injured workers in receiving the care they need after a #workplace #injury so they can return to gainful employment. Workers injured on the job benefit from medical care at no cost to meet their needs. They also are paid if they cannot go back to work. This combination can lead to overutilization and other issues that can derail the process. The Automotive Industries Compensation Corporation (AICC) is so fortunate to have excellent nurse case managers who take the time to educate and work with the injured worker, the employer, and the adjustor and utilize the resources for success. https://lnkd.in/dtHd6dCQ #AICC #NARFA #losscontrol #nursecasemanagers #nurses #casemanagement #claims #claimsmanagement #losscontrol #workerscomp #workerscompensation #returntowork #insurance #workplacesafety #safety #health #labor #employment

On the jobsite, a healthy workforce is a safer, more efficient and more effective workforce. However, most #preventative measures for #workplace #safety and #health usually focus on reducing #musculoskeletal injuries and improving long-term health. Few consider the impact that proper #visual and #audio acuity can have on the safety of not just the individual but the entire #workforce. And the costs of ignoring these critical safety components are becoming increasingly dire. https://lnkd.in/eP2phbs6 #AICC #safetyculture #safetyandhealth #workplacesafety #insurance #selfinsured #losscontrol #claims #claimsmanagement #claimshandling #labor #employment #workerscomp #workerscompensation

A safety issue we all hope we never have to deal with, but it is an unfortunate reality that workplace violence occurs... The reality is that active assailant incidents can happen to any organization or commercial entity, and at any time. If everyone committed just one day a year to thinking through the risks and compiling an actionable plan, insureds and their employees would gain significant peace of mind and lives would be saved. https://lnkd.in/ey-Yn_FW #AICC #NARFA #advocacy #workplacesafety #safety #violence #workplaceviolence #risk #riskmanagement #losscontrol #workerscompensation #claims #claimsmanagement #training #activeshooter
