We continue to build on our learnings with City of Pittsburgh, Department of Mobility and Infrastructure and the Pittsburgh Parking Authority through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) VTO project led by our non-profit partners at the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI). It is inspiring to be part of such a dynamic group that includes public agencies, local BIDs, academia, and national labs as we break new ground in curb management . 👏
🚗 Grateful for an insightful day with the Pittsburgh VTO Curb Management Project Team! While it's late on a Friday, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the Pittsburgh Smart Loading Zone Curb Management Project Team who made yesterday’s visit from the DOE, walking tour and discussions a phenomenal gathering and fantastic trip to the east coast! 💜🎉 The team's ongoing contributions over the last few years to make Automated enforcement of Smart Loading Zones in Pittsburgh a success and are key to paving the way for additional climate transportation goals and future opportunities for Pittsburgh and other cities. It was fantastic to explore downtown Pittsburgh’s pilot locations with the group, including bike lane and red curb enforcement, and engage and exchange with project partners IRL. 🌟 Some of the Key Takeaways and insight that are exciting to share : - Pittsburgh has seen a 95% reduction in double parking - Majority of zone usage is by light-duty cars, < than 15% from delivery/freight vehicles. - Pittsburgh’s blueprint bring together curb management and balanced engagement with businesses to create zone to support their needs. - Reallocating technology for new city curb demands is supported and informed by data collected through ALPR that would otherwise be hard to acquire. - Model transferability to other cities is possible if they can collect similar baseline data sets. A special thanks to our Technology and Project Officers who initiated this visit , and encouraged us over the last 2 years to get here! I'm excited to see how we close out strong in 2025 🚀 Thanks again to everyone involved. Looking forward to what’s ahead! 🙌 #SustainableCities #CurbManagement #Innovation #TransportationTech #SmartCities #DOE #VTO Automotus, City of Pittsburgh, Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Lawrenceville Corporation, Oakland Business Improvement District, Pittsburgh Parking Authority, Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI)

"We’re a host community to the busiest bridge in the world... We have a traffic problem and we have parking challenges, but steps like this will hopefully relieve that burden," Mayor Mark Sokolich. 🎉 Congratulations to Fort Lee Parking Authority for being the first community in NJ to launch Smart Loading Zones! Automated paid loading zones have been shown to massively reduce double parking hazards and increase turnover and traffic speeds. We’re thrilled to partner with Hernani Goncalves and Evelyn Lassalle -Ayala at the Fort Lee Parking Authority to bring this program to life. #SmartLoadingZones #curbmanagement

Many cities may feel like they don’t have the policies in place to support automating enforcement for tickets in the mail. But there are more ways automation can enhance your operations such as directed enforcement and automated invoicing. With directed enforcement, your current staff can be more efficient, focusing their efforts where they’re needed most. Receiving real-time notifications of violations, cities like Bethlehem, PA and Miami, FL are increasing turnover and reduce double parking. Automation can support streamlining operations and making cities safer and more efficient for everyone. Ready to learn more? Let's talk! #SmartCities #TrafficManagement #UrbanMobility #Efficiency #Automation

🚗🔧 Since we launched automated enforcement earlier this year, double parking has decreased by over 75% in Pittsburgh! We're incredibly proud to be supporting the city's Vision Zero initiative and the city's Smart Loading Zones which utilize automated enforcement. Kudos to our partners at the PPA and DOMI for leading the way. Excited to see the positive impact of innovation on safer streets! #VisionZero #SmartCities #TransportationInnovation #SaferRoads
I am excited to announce that we have secured formal legislation from the City of Pittsburgh to showcase how Pittburgh and the Pittsburgh Parking Authority continue to lead the way through technology in parking by completing a state of the art eco-system for citywide enforcement measures with ticket by mail.
