We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity and dedication of our community, Avondale House has successfully completed its $400,000 Matching Gift Challenge! Over the past six months, not only did we meet our goal—we surpassed it! With an astounding $500,000 raised in non-event fundraising gifts, and with the match from our generous anonymous donor, we are excited to share that we have raised a transformational $1 million! This monumental achievement is a powerful testament to the incredible support of individuals like you who share our belief in the life-changing mission of Avondale House. Your generosity has ensured that we can continue offering essential services to individuals with profound autism, while also expanding the reach and impact of our programs. These funds will directly benefit the individuals we serve by allowing us to continue providing the specialized care, education, and opportunities they need to thrive in our residential, adult day, school, and employment programs. On behalf of our Board of Directors, our dedicated staff, and—most importantly—the individuals and families who rely on Avondale House, thank you for believing in our mission and for being an essential part of this journey. Your continued support empowers us to build a brighter future for individuals with autism, and we look forward to sharing updates on the lasting impact your generosity will make.

Our 5th Annual Bingo Bash was an unforgettable evening! Held on Thursday, September 19, at the Junior League of Houston and chaired by Emily and George Craft, this milestone event marked five incredible years of coming together in support of Avondale House. We were thrilled to commemorate this special anniversary with a sold-out crowd and raised an impressive $167,860 for our four amazing programs! Your generous support over the years has made a significant difference in the lives of individuals with autism, and this year was no exception. These funds will help us continue to expand our vital services, providing those we serve the essential resources, education, and training to reach their fullest potential. A heartfelt thank you to Emily and George Craft for their outstanding leadership as the event chairs, as well as our entire Bingo Committee—Lindsay Canning, Ara and JJ Hardig, Chereese Johnson, Kaitlyn Merz, Mandy and Chuck Porter, Ann Turnbach, Stacie and Tim Williamson and Esther and Waylon Wood. We’re also grateful to our wonderful emcees, Briana Conner and Adam Winkler, and amazing Mission Moment Speaker, Ann Turnbach, for making the night truly memorable.
