✨Annnnnnnd that’s a wrap on State of the Movement 2024! ✨ We’re beyond grateful for the incredible community of advocates, policymakers, and youth leaders who joined us in Dallas to strategize, connect, and work toward ending youth homelessness. This year’s SOTM was truly unforgettable! The performances by Journeyman Ink moved us all, grounding us in the urgency and heart of this movement. Also our keynote speaker, Amanda Seales, left us inspired with powerful insights on building authentic, principled movements. We are deeply grateful to Amanda Andere from Funders Together to End Homelessness for her impactful closing words, and a huge thank you to our funders and partners who make this work possible. A special shoutout to Life in Deep Ellum for being an exceptional venue and providing the perfect space for collaboration and reflection. Thank you to everyone who came out and contributed to the movement—together, we’re one step closer to a world where every young person has a safe place to call home. ✊🏾💙❤️ #SOTM2024 #AWayHomeAmerica #YouthHomelessness #HousingJustice

Some highlights from NAEH’s State of Homelessness 2024 Report 🚨 In just one year, between 2022 and 2023, the number of people staying in shelters during the Point-in-Time Count increased by 14%. That’s 70,642 more people without a home. While 30,925 temporary shelter beds were added, it’s still not enough to meet the growing need caused by the affordable housing crisis, leaving far too many forced to sleep outside. The National Alliance to End Homelessness has released this critical report, and we at A Way Home America stand in solidarity with their mission. Our work focuses on transforming systems through public policy to prevent and end homelessness for Black, Indigenous, youth of color, and LGBTQIA+ youth. Together, we can build a path to housing justice for all. 🔗 Learn more: endhomelessness.org | AWayHomeAmerica.org #EndHomelessness #endyouthhomelessness #homeless #homelessyouth #housingisahumanright
