Celebrating Jennifer Spector, an AEF® 2025 AZ Teacher of the Year® Finalist! She teaches 5th grade English Language Arts & Social Studies at Desert View Elementary School in the Washington Elementary School District. He has been serving 20 years as a teacher. 📚 Get to know Jennifer! Prior to teaching Jennifer coordinated Osborn School District’s before and after school programs where she learned the value of building positive and productive relationships with students, their families, community, and staff. In 2003 she began teaching in Osborn and was heavily involved in the school and community. She participated in multiple committees and assisted with curriculum adoptions and cadres to better support students in the district. Transitioning to the Washington district, Jennifer brought her ideologies and commitment to her students and community with her, serving as Community Outreach Coordinator at two schools. Notably, her efforts at Desert View Elementary contributed to elevating the school from a "C" to an "A" rating. Recognized for her dedication, Jennifer received the Lamp of Learning Award from Washington District in 2017 and the Star Teacher Award from Burch and Cracchiolo in 2023. Her commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive environment was also acknowledged when she was named WESD Employee of the Month in September 2023.
