The Black Alliance of Colleges and Employers (BACE), originally piloted in 2008, addresses the unique needs and challenges of institutions and employers serving African Americans and those of African descent. BACE provides a forum advancing racial equity through advocacy, org transformation, and reporting.
*BACE Committee for Black Advancement supports the alliance of HBCUs/PBIs along with Black faculty, staff, students and alumni at PWIs.
*BACE V-SUITE, a gender-based career and entrepreneurship center for Black veterans and spouses in collaboration with the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago and the Veterans Advocacy Group
*Resource and training partner to equity, inclusion and diversity initiatives for universities, colleges, departments, student and alumni groups along with BRGs
*Address unique needs and challenges of Black college students, professionals, and the institutions that educate, hire and retain them
*Coordinate advanced levels of collaboration between colleges and employers (Administrators, Faculty, University & College Career & HR Staff, and Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Professionals)
*Generate internship and career opportunities for Black college students
*Inspire and lead the development of academic research that supports Black professional excellence and career acceleration
*Establish mentoring and coaching initiatives that support Black students, professionals and the community
