New work for Mejuri
I am very excited to share my newest work for Mejuri I truly could not have asked for a more spectacular day on set with the most magnificent crew of women ✨
Bailey is a working Los Angeles based photographer. She shoots lifestyle, portraiture, beauty, advertising, fashion and fine art imagery. Born in Maui, Hawaii, she developed a connection to the raw, stripped down experience of being human. At 18 years old, she moved to New York to study photography at Parsons School of Design where she received her BFA in photography, and went on to earn a degree in Cultural Anthropology at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at the New School in New York. She has always been wildly curious about culture, society, politics and the humanities. Early in her career, she assisted American photographer and filmmaker Pamela Hanson and was influenced by her presence, conviction, humanity and instincts. The formal qualities of Bailey’s photographs have rich, environmental colors, natural light and an honest, innately human quality. Her work is characterized by an embrace of the feminine, a deep appreciation for nature and an honest, intimate portrayal of humanity. In her personal projects she has addressed the influence of place on identity and sisterhood as a formative experience. Her photographs maintain an integrity of emotion and movement. Her objective with pictures is to draw empathy out of her viewer whether that is joyful or contemplative, she wants them to feel. She has shot for numerous brands and publications including Grazia, Travel&Leisure, Food & Wine, Rolling Stone Magazine, Sirene Journal, and Vogue. Selected commercial clients include… Acacia Swimwear, Amazon, Athleta, Budweiser, Canon, CITIBike, Chariot, Cole Haan, Converse, COOLA Suncare, GAP, Hurley, Lightning Bolt USA, MTV, Olympia Etal, Otterbox, Ries Beauty, Samsung, Tommy Bahama, Tracy Anderson, Vice and Yahoo Beauty. Her idea of happiness is an afternoon spent on a sailboat under the summer sun. Her Nikon FM2 is in hand and some good friends are recounting stories and finding laughter. Neil Young's Cortez the Killer hums in the background.

Over the last few months, several people have been reaching out to me inquiring to purchase prints of my work. I had never given much credence to that idea until now. I figured it could be fun to offer up a few of my pieces for sale as we approach the holiday season. Two sizes, price-friendly, delivered straight from the printer to the purchaser. Take a look! You might see something you like or want to surprise someone with a print for the holidays.
