We had an amazing opportunity to be an exhibitor at this year’s 2024 University of Minnesota Supplier Diversity Expo! With over 150 vendors, we were able to showcase our services through a live installation by Neeka Jackson, a talented textile artist, while Raji Vela live-streamed the creative process. It was incredible to meet so many individuals from various industries and share our creative production agency's work in such an innovative space. This past week was such a success! From crafting the mood-board, script, seeking alumni talent, and the overall vision, ROQA Productions is so excited to start post production. Creative Production Agency ROQA Productions, Filmmaker and Founder, Raji Vela, has teamed up with Bryson Studios, Adrian Wilson, to create GUMBO, an awe-provoking and introspective dystopian series that explores the multifaceted black experience. The first of the series, Unplugged, was featured in this year’s Twin Cities Film Festival along with other short films created by Black folks. We were honored to have host a screening last Thursday in Chicago, for a private screening at Soho House Chicago. We had an amazing turnout of two screening times, along with intimate accommodations Soho House provided, and the Q & A discussion facilitated by Aja Symone with Raji and Aamina Muhammad Vela. Thank you to our Chicago Community for showing ROQA Productions, and Adrian Wilson so much love. We look forward to continuing our GUMBO series and keeping you all in connection for the next future project.
