Each year, our employees rally together in the spirit of giving for our Live Kokua Giving Campaign to raise money for local, non-profit organizations across Hawaii and the West Pacific region. This year, each of our Employee Resource Groups are taking it one step further and hosting events to raise money for a non-profit that aligns to their mission. Last week, our team proudly participated in the Men’s March Against Violence. It was an impactful day filled with meaningful conversations, powerful testimonies, and a shared commitment to fostering a safer community. Each step was a reminder of the importance of promoting respect and accountability in our society. Last month, members of our RainBOH Employee Resource Group and The Private Bank team represented Bank of Hawaii at the Kona Pride Festival. Earlier this month, our RainBOH Employee Resource Group sponsored a Rainbow Town Hall panel event in partnership with Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation to shine a light on the exploration and understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. The panel brought together some of our community’s brightest professionals to share their lived experiences and insights on how to include these principles into our daily lives and professional practice. In 2014, our Bank of Hawaii Foundation Scholarship program was created to support the children and grandchildren of bank employees in their pursuit of higher education. Since then, Bank of Hawaii Foundation as provided nearly 300 scholarships, administered through Hawaii Community Foundation.
