During the #APHA2024 poster presentations, Alan Jay Williams shared our approach to designing effective public health solutions through our Dengue awareness and prevention work. We developed plain language messages in Spanish and designed culturally appropriate assets to ensure the campaign would resonate with the audience. This Dengue campaign is just one of many ways we create change for good through health communications.

Creating Change for Good
About us
At Banyan we believe we are all connected. Through our relationships, our communities, and across society, what we do as individuals, together, can have a powerful impact on all our lives. Communication that moves people to action—that is informed by evidence, inspired by creativity, and driven by people who feel passion for social change—can address or prevent almost every problem that affects humanity today. Communication that inspires awareness, learning, sharing, action, and leadership — can empower social movements, improve how people live, and change the world.

We love a good reunion Alan Jay Williams and Brittaney Bethea! 🫶🏼
Love when old paths cross, as life has a way of bringing you back. 😊 Great seeing you this week at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Industry Day Alan Jay Williams! I'll always have a special place in my heart for Banyan Communications, the first marketing agency I worked in that opened my eyes to the endless possibilities we have to make space for more creativity in public health. #BanyanOGs #scienceandart

Are you going to the APHA 2024 Meeting & Expo? Our very own Beth Fitzer will give a poster presentation about our work on Dengue. Be sure to stop by to learn how we’re creating change for good through awareness and prevention campaigns like this one for communities at higher risk. See you in Minneapolis! #APHA2024 #publichealth

It's good to switch things up every now and then. Instead of their usual department meeting, our design team took a field trip to Standard Press, Inc. to learn about their not-so-standard presses. They talked press checks, inspiration, how to be a good partner with a printer, and how to fix common printing mistakes. Who knows where the next adventure might take us as we follow our curiosity beyond the office walls...

We're beyond proud of Banyan's UX and Information Architecture Specialist Luke Van Rhoon, PhD. who presented usability insights into the PEACH Parenting (Promoting Education, Awareness, Connection, and Health) mobile site at #APHA2023 today! Findings highlighted the relationship between accessing educational resources and design, cultural diversity, trustworthiness, lived experience, and meeting parents where they are. Banyan was honored to create and evaluate the site with Georgia Division of Family & Children Services and Georgia Department of Public Health to better connect all parents and caregivers with family services and tools to build resilience. #changeforgood
