2024 is our 90th summer serving children with disabilities. Join us for a fun-filled summer!
A summer camp job is an invaluable experience for any young adult, but its transformative impact can be especially profound for students experiencing homelessness. When Jordyn Roarke first applied to work at a residential summer camp, her primary goal was securing summer housing. However, after three summers working at #SkylandCamp (NC), she knew that the experience had become much more than that. Thank you, Jordyn (Director of #SchoolHouseConnection's Youth Leadership and Scholarship Program) for sharing your amazing story! Read this week's Project Real Job blog to find more about how to initiate collaborations with organizations and college campuses focused on serving students experiencing homelessness to identify potential staff applicants. These collaborations hold the promise of providing more young adults the opportunity to work at camp, while also allowing camps to benefit from the unique contributions of these remarkable young adults! #WinWin #ProjectRealJob #WorkAtCamp https://bit.ly/3uBCW2z
