This past Tuesday, our #Dallas office team (including Anita Koumriqian Piper and Karen Kharel) attended an event hosted by the Dallas Regional Chamber on the State of Public Education and shed light on Texas' education landscape. Commissioner Mike Morath's keynote unveiled the latest education policies approved by the 88th Texas Legislature. Commissioner Morath's insights were eye-opening, but what truly stood out was the engaging panel discussion featuring these top regional superintendents: - Dr. Stephanie Elizalde, Dallas ISD - Dr. Gerald Hudson, Cedar Hill ISD - Dr. Theresa Williams, Plano ISD Their expertise added depth to the conversation about the #challenges and #opportunities in Texas’ public education system. One of the biggest issues highlighted by the panelists was the higher crisis due to a lack of teachers in a lot of districts that affects children’s education and their future. We had a pleasure of talking to several panelists after the presentation, and shared creative ideas on how the teacher shortage could be optimized from the #immigration perspective.
