Project Highlight: Saylorville Sluice gates This project has 4 gates in total that are part of a dam in Iowa. These will help regulate the flow and level of the water through that dam. This is another project we're performing for BCI Construction USA, Inc. and the dam itself is owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers. #TMFab #steelfab #marinehydro #sluicegates #saylorville

BCI installs one of six Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs) and precast concrete shelters flown in from a barge crane at Pike Island Lock in Wheeling, WV. These HPUs will power the lock gates to allow two lock chambers to operate with modern equipment and piping and provide local operational control at each corner of the lock. The previous hydraulic design operated from a more centralized and less maintenance efficient schematic.

Here is another video highlighting one of the multiple projects BCI completed in 2023. BCI managed the design/build and installed new gate hoist machinery and wire rope at Crooked Creek Dam in Pennyslvania earlier this year for the USACE. Our crews worked hard to successfully complete onsite work for about 12 projects this year. Lemke Industrial Machine LLC #damgood #cranes #HoistMachinery #infrastructure #wirerope #WireRopeHoist

Here is a glimpse of another project BCI completed this year. This project consisted of replacing approximately 2400 feet of rail that the gantry rides on across the dam and the erection of a new 165 ton gantry crane at Barkley Dam in Kentucky for the USACE. BCI's crew consists of family and friends that work together to solve how to get jobs completed in challenging scenarios. This particular job's work area was limited for the size of mobile crane needed to be able to fly the trolley that was 16' wide and over 100,000 pounds. All the guys worked together to successfully erect the gantry crane on time and under budget. One of the projects we completed this year was for the Bureau of Reclamation in Hungry Horse, Montana. Here is a video that highlights our talented crew erecting the gantry crane. BCI appreciates the hardwork and workmanship that each of our employees bring to the job. #damgood #crane #gantrycrane #teamwork
