Catholic school superintendents from Seattle, WA to Fall River, MA gathered for a retreat in Seabeck, WA prior to the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) #NCEACLS. Taking time to refill their spiritual well & strengthen friendships sustains them in their vocation. Retreats are a key component of our Superintendent PLC, offered in partnership with Fr. Ron Nuzzi of Catapult Learning. Learn more about the Superintendent PLC: https://lnkd.in/gg3NAGbU

Our research on issues of equity and excellence in Catholic schools, including leadership development, social-emotional learning practices, and character formation, took us to some incredible places in the past year! We're blessed to have the opportunity to continually share and advocate for the work being done in Catholic schools locally, nationally, and globally. In an age of poly-crisis, what type of leadership is needed in Catholic schools? On Tuesday, Melodie Wyttenbach, Dr. Molly McMahon, Daniel Ferris, and John Reyes, Ed.D. led Catholic school superintendents and higher ed institutions in a general session on accompaniment as an emergent, distinctly Christian frame of leadership that manifests itself in the resilience, trust, and solidarity of flourishing Catholic schools. The team explored and articulated expressions of accompaniment in Catholic school governance and leadership through the Center’s distinct approach to leadership formation and emerging scholarship on networks of Catholic schools. #NCEACLS National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) Boston College Lynch School
