  • Our former YCP Denver President, Inoh Choe, recently completed his first year as a novice in the seminary with the Legionaries of Christ!  “Who would have thought a startup exec and fintech investor would join a religious order at the peak of his career? After two transformative years with YCP Denver, I’m continuing my journey with the Legionaries of Christ in Cheshire, Connecticut. YCP was where I first began to see that Jesus meant it when he said: 'But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.' YCP taught me the importance of keeping Christ front and center. In a world that often places our value on our "doing", the temptation is to believe everything depends on you and risk burnout. YCP showed me the importance of actually practicing it's ethos - putting God first. Only when I began to put prayer and the leadership team's spiritual health a priority, did we begin to bear real fruit on the apostolic level. People began to volunteer for leadership roles, we'd find incredible venues and partners, and 'holy collisions' between members forged a rich community centered on authentic friendship." Inoh's journey gives us a window into how our 'fiat' can lead us to unexpected places as we uncover our true vocation while seeking Him in both our work and faith. This kind of surrender takes a lot of humility and vulnerability but ultimately leads to true purpose and courage. His story is a powerful reminder of how allowing God into every area of your work and life, opens doors to greater purpose and transformation. Join us in praying for Inoh as he continues on this beautiful path.  Have you invited God into your work? What doors is He opening in your life? #YCP #YoungCatholicProfessinals #LegionariesofChrist #Vocation #Belong #WorkinginWitnessforChrist

  • Who was Blessed Carlo Acutis, a boy who left such a strong legacy for young people across the world today?  Born in 1991 to Italian parents, Carlo used his unique talents in technology to share the Gospel and the truth of Christ in creative ways.  Carlo’s vibrant faith was reflected in his love for the Eucharist, his "motorway to heaven." His commitment to prayer and intimacy with Christ serves as a powerful reminder that deepening our relationship with God is central to living authentically.  Carlo used modern technology as a tool for evangelization, teaching us that we can harness the tools of our time to spread goodness and truth. He had a deep heart for service and was a friend to all, helping those in need and offering support to his friends. Carlo understood that true happiness lies in loving God and loving our neighbors.  “Money is only ragged paper... What counts in life is the nobility of the soul.” As we reflect on Carlo’s life today, let’s ask ourselves: How can we bring his spirit of joy, authenticity, and love into our own lives?  Whether it’s through small acts of kindness or using our unique talents to serve others, we have the power to inspire and lead those around us closer to Christ.   #YCP #YoungCatholicProfessionals #CarloAcutis #ModernDaySaints

  • Isolate yourself, don't talk to your friends, keep your blinds shut, don't show anyone you're struggling.  ⬆️ This is what the world encourages us to buy into.  The latest federal data found that half (50%) of adults between the ages of 18-24 reported anxiety and depression symptoms in 2023!  Andrew Huberman says, healthy relationships are fundamental. All it takes is one trusting reliable relationship to avoid falling into the isolation crisis.   Find a friend, and text them a good morning text every single morning.  Can you think of anyone who may be feeling the mid-week, mid-month slump? As the days get shorter, seasonal depression may be setting in for some people.  This is your sign to reach out to a friend or coworker this week and just check in.  This is one simple action you can take today to evangelize and extend Christ's love to those around you.  #MentalHealth #IsolationCrisis #WorkingInWitnessforChrist #YCP #YoungCatholicProfessionals

  • Our faith isn’t meant to be only set aside for Sundays, it’s a fabric that should be woven into every moment of our daily lives, including our jobs.  Whether you’re tackling new projects, meeting difficult deadlines, or collaborating with others on your team, you have countless opportunities to bring Christ into your workplace.  By keeping God at the center of your work, you not only grow in your own relationship with Him, but you also become a witness to others, showing how faith can transform even the most mundane tasks.   Here are three ways to connect your work with God’s work and Word: Start your day with prayer: Before jumping into the hustle, pause and offer your day to God. Ask Him to guide your thoughts, actions, and interactions. See your work as a vocation: Like St. Joseph, who found holiness in his craft, remember that your work is a path to sanctity. Whether you’re leading meetings or serving customers, your daily efforts and actions can reflect God’s love and mercy.  Be a light to others: In moments of stress or challenge, choose patience, kindness, and love. Your example of integrity and grace can inspire those around you to do the same. At YCP, we’re called to remember that excellence in work is a form of worship, and every task, no matter how big or small, can glorify God. By aligning our work with His will, we grow in holiness and help those around us to see Christ in their own lives. How do you bring faith into your work? • At your next YCP Networking Happy Hour, don’t just scratch the surface with small talk—ask questions that uncover the stories behind the people you meet, just how you might be curious to uncover the unique journeys of the Saints that walked before us.  Here are three thoughtful questions to guide your next happy hour conversations: What’s one challenge you’ve faced that most people wouldn’t know just by looking at your success today? – Like St. Francis of Assisi’s radical shift from wealth to simplicity, there’s often a hidden story behind someone’s achievements. What aspect of your work brings you the most joy and fulfillment? – St. Joseph found holiness in his everyday work as a carpenter. Find out what others find deeply meaningful in their day-to-day lives. Who has been a key influence in your faith or professional life? – Many saints had mentors and spiritual guides. Learning who shaped someone’s path can lead to rich conversation. What’s your favorite networking question? Drop it in the comments below! Elevate your conversations and build deeper connections! #YCP #YoungCatholicProfessionals #YCPHappyHour #Networking
