Our Service Vacations are Life Transforming Experiences for Cool People that are Committed to Making the World Better!

About us

Our mission is to inspire others to become global citizens and take a hands-on role in improving the world around them. We believe our duty is to improve the lives of those in need. We help children, teens, mothers, and families reach their full potential with early nutrition and continued education. Our service vacations help companies, families, and individuals give back while remembering what really matters. This eye-opening experience was created to offer volunteers a hands-on experience exploring Guatemala and learning about life outside the US. This adventure is for individuals who want to develop an appreciation for life through experiences and are brave enough to leave their comfort zone. While in Guatemala volunteers will be provided the tools to know exactly how to make a difference in the lives of others so that volunteers feel fulfilled and connected to the world around them. These trips combine service learning and leadership, allowing volunteers to learn about global development issues, such as poverty or public health, as well as solutions being put forth within the communities we support. Each year we lead service vacations exploring Guatemala and giving back. Our goal is to pay it forward by serving those in need. We spend our days volunteering and exploring. We prepare breakfast and lunch, deliver backpacks, and school supplies to our small preschool, deliver hundreds of pounds of books, backpacks, school supplies, and much-needed donations to local organizations. Create once in a lifetime memories - We install wood-burning stoves in homes and get to know local families, hike a volcano and roast marshmallows on hot pockets in the lava, explore Lake Atitlan, take a sunrise tour of the Mangroves, play with our kiddos at our preschool, explore Mayan ruins, visit the black sand beach, deliver much needed supplies to our free breakfast program, shop local markets, laugh a lot and have a blast.

When I was in Guatemala, I had an eye-opening experience witnessing firsthand the living conditions of the children there. Since then, it has been my mission to bring awareness and support to these communities, ensuring every child has access to education, nutrition, and opportunities for a brighter future. - Tobie Spears Sponsor a child in Guatemala now, go to: behumanitarian.org #BeHumanitarian #MakeADifference #SupportGuatemala

In Guatemala, some of the most impoverished communities face significant challenges that hinder their ability to break the cycle of poverty. These challenges include: 1. Lack of Income - Many families struggle to meet basic needs due to insufficient income opportunities, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty. 2. Guatemala is the 4th Most Malnourished country - Without adequate accommodation and facilities, it becomes difficult to attract and retain volunteers who are crucial for implementing educational and nutritional programs. 3. Lack of Educational Opportunities - Learning English is a powerful tool for improving educational and economic opportunities. However, there is a critical shortage of qualified English teachers to provide this essential skill. Learn more about service opportunities in Guatemala here: https://lnkd.in/gQXr--XH
