About us
Beacon’s vision is that all people have a home. We are a collaborative of Twin Cities area congregations united in action to create homes and advance equitable housing. By leveraging our collective power, we develop affordable homes, shelter families, and work to impact housing policy. Our focus is on families, seniors, young adults and others who are very low income, and those who are experiencing homelessness.

We'll glimpse inside a standard unit and the adjacent common areas. We'll also learn more about the supportive services our onsite partners provide and discuss what it will take for Beacon to continue creating new homes like these. We’re offering three tours each day on both November 14 and 19. Find a tour that works for you and sign up today by visiting https://lnkd.in/eVZZyk8z.

Beacon is in the business of building and sustaining deeply affordable housing; however, the residents make these buildings "home." Their stories testify to the transformative power of home and keep us focused on why we do what we do. Thank you to all who make these stories and homes possible, including our sponsors from this year's Light the Way Home annual fundraiser! Watson-Forsberg Co., Tri-Construction, Shaw-Lundquist Construction, Flannery Construction, MSR Design, Property Solutions & Services, Inc., Alerus, Bremer Bank, The Javelin Group, Loeffler Construction & Consulting, Mahoney | CPAs and Advisors, and RBC Wealth Management, you make these stories and homes possible! Thank you!

"Shanah Tovah" or "Happy New Year" to our Jewish neighbors and community members! Today at sundown marks the beginning of Rosh Hashanah! This two-day holiday begins the Ten Days of Repentance, also known as the Days of Awe, which culminate in Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement). As with any new year celebration, Rosh Hashanah provides an excellent opportunity to reflect on the past year, consider the present, and look ahead to the future. It's a time to ask, "How can I show up more for justice in my community?" "How can I provide light to help repair a broken world?" No matter what our faith or spiritual tradition is, we can all honor the spirit of the holiday by considering these questions.
