Yesterday, across New York City, we came together with our fellow Blackstone Portfolio Companies to fight against childhood hunger in a day of giving back. During our annual #CoreGivingDay, our teams headed to food banks, parks, and kitchens throughout the city (and across the country) to lend a helping hand and make a big impact on our local communities.

On World Mental Health Day, we are reminded of the importance of prioritizing mental well-being in our daily lives and workplaces. Meet Joseph Pangrac, Beam Living's Vice President of Legal. Joe spoke with us about what his role entails, explaining, "My Role at Beam is to provide legal support and advice to the company. This may come in the form of helping review and negotiate contracts, as well as assist with the development and implementation of processes and procedures to protect the organization from undue risk."   When asked about the impact the Legal team has on Beam Living, Joe replied, "The legal department's goal is to be a trusted resource to help solve problems and find solutions for the company in its pursuit to be the best property management company in New York."

Our Beam Women's League hosted a Paint and Sip event which created a space full of laughs, collaboration, and creativity. It was an opportunity for team members to unwind, connect, and express themselves through art in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Here at Beam Living, we are proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. This month, we honor the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities across the country and within our own organization.    We believe that diversity is our strength, and the creativity, passion, and unique perspectives of our Hispanic and Latinx colleagues help drive innovation and success. This month is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the significant influence Hispanic cultures have on our society, from art and music to science, business, real estate and more.

We are proud to announce that StuyTown/Peter Cooper Village is the first and only multifamily property in New York that has been awarded the ENERGY STAR certification for 10 consecutive years. This award recognizes that our community has consistently outperformed similar buildings nationwide by at least 75% in energy efficiency. One of our initiatives to increase our energy efficiency is Project Solar, which involved installing 9,671 solar panels across our 22 acres of rooftops, doubling Manhattan's solar power capacity at time of installation. Project Solar has continued to remove 2,515 Metric Tons of Carbon Dioxide annually. Here at Beam, we are committed and honored to be a leader in sustainability and energy efficiency for multifamily housing.
