Michael Masek recently celebrated 45 years of service with Bearing Service. For his celebration, Mike chose to have his party playing whirly ball with family and fellow Bearing Service employees. Mike is currently working in the Marketing department but he wears many hats. He is a pricing specialist, manages co-op programs, develops marketing and training materials for the sales force, and is involved in new employee training. Over the course of his career, Mike has done it all for Bearing Service from starting in the warehouse to purchasing, sales, operations, and branch management. Mike is a sourcing expert so if it is a hard-to-find product, he probably knows someone who makes it!

We had our 34th annual charity golf outing on a beautiful day at Fellows Creek Golf Club, raising $1,100 for the American Kidney Fund. Each branch and department contributed by assembling a basket for a raffle, with the team from Livonia assembling the basket with the most tickets. On the course, Dan Sitarski and his team took the lowest score of the day finishing at 61. But the biggest surprise of the day was Crystal's team as they had a successful day and finished under par! So many people helped make this an amazing event for employees, vendors, and guests. Thank you to all that attended, volunteered, and donated!

Every year, we hold a company meeting where we analyze the previous year's performance, discuss objectives for the current year, and award our Outstanding Service Award. This year's Outstanding Service Award was given to Lara White. Lara received this award based on nominations from other Bearing Service employees who noted how helpful she was in assisting other departments and branches. She also had a really positive contribution to the growth of business for many customers and has displayed outstanding problem-solving and project management skills. Honorable mentions for the award include Eric Adams, Michelle Warner, and Bryan Boes.
