Happy #NationalAgDay from the Bee Sweet Citrus family to yours! To honor the amazing people who make up California's diverse agriculture industry, we thought we'd share a few fun facts with you! 🪴 🍊 California produces more than 400 animal and plant commodities annually. Its unique Mediterranean climate has made it one of the top agricultural-producing states in the nation. 🍊 There are more than 24 million acres of farmland in California, and the state's average farm size is 383 acres. 🍊 California farms are primarily owned and operated by families. As of 2022, there were 44,000+ family farms, which made up approximately 71% of all farms in the state. 🍊 California growers supply over 90 percent of the nation's fresh citrus. The San Joaquin Valley alone produces primarily oranges, mandarins, and lemons, making up about 75% of the state's citrus acreage. Do you know someone who works in agriculture? Tag them here and let them know they're appreciated! 💛 (All facts were sourced from California Citrus Mutual and the 2024 Census of Agriculture.) #EatMoreCitrus #NationalAgDay

The Bee Sweet Citrus team is proud to support the American Red Cross Central California Region and its mission to support those in need! ❤️
Every 8 minutes, the American Red Cross responds to a disaster, providing life-saving meals and support. When disaster strikes, it's not just about food – it’s about offering comfort in the toughest moments. During #NutritionMonth, we extend our gratitude to our local agriculture partners who provided fresh produce and snacks to evacuees following the aftermath of the devastating wildfires this January in Los Angeles. 🍇🍊. Special thank you to Bee Sweet Citrus, Inc. and Setton Farms for joining our relief efforts and doing what Central California does best, feed the world! 🌎 #ThankfulThursday

As we move out of winter and into spring, lemons play a vital role in many families' diets. Their tangy juice elevates the flavor of many seafood dishes (perfect for Lent), and their flavor is a staple for many light, fragrant springtime recipes. ✨ And let's not forget that lemons are an incredible source of vitamin C—a brilliant water-soluble vitamin that our bodies can't make on their own. Dive deeper into why we think lemons would make an excellent addition to your diet this season by reading the article below! 🍋 #EatMoreCitrus https://lnkd.in/gdjxCRd7
