Back in January of this year, I started on the journey of crafting a new line of BBA. Why: In 2023, I spent just under 200 hours networking. Many of those hours were connecting with non-accountants. A large amount of those hours were women based events. I was asked questions, listened to how people felt, and started to see the disconnect between small business owners and the accounting field. I felt what was being shared with me, the direct local area I live it, has become crazy expensive in my opinion. I am honestly a little floored about how well I have done and yet I feel like I am drowning sometimes wanting to hire out, but not being able to pay someone else's rates. It's not that I don't see their value. The focus I have is on making so much... just to live, to pay my taxes in full, to have health insurance. Basics. This product line is for those who are starting off and they see my value, but are in a similar position as they build. I see you, I hear you, I believe in you. This product line is for women and other historically marginalized communities. I am doing my best to make sure you are seen and heard. This product line is for that person who has a spark and wants to know what is next, without spending hours trying to google everything and it still not making sense. I want you in your zone of genius. I won't solve everything for you. You still need to do the things. The goal is to provide you products that are always going to be under $100.00 (some are $20.00), direct, and to help shave that learning curve. We get it! After finally filing a complicated and stressful tax return, nothing sounds better than packing last year’s financial records in a box, “filing” them in the nearest dumpster, and never thinking about them again. Don’t do that! Generally speaking, you will need to keep your tax records between for three and seven years, including the paper and electronic records that support your tax return, like receipts, bank statements and investment account statements.  Failure to keep a paper trail for the information provided on your returns could lead to problems if you’re audited.
