Last week, I was invited to deliver a keynote on ‘Fighting AI with AI’ at the Data Science Conference in Belgrade. It was an incredible experience diving into the world of deepfakes—exploring how cutting-edge AI can counter these fabrications. Our unique approach at Behavioral Signals leverages behavioral mapping to detect fakes by analyzing subtle nuances in voice and communication patterns that deepfakes still struggle to replicate. This approach is becoming increasingly critical, as current methods that rely on spotting missing vocal biomarkers are rapidly becoming obsolete with the rise of advanced generators that can synthesize those markers convincingly. By focusing on the deeper layers of behavioral consistency, we’re not just keeping up with evolving threats—we’re staying ahead of them. How do we tell what’s true and what’s not?
