In recent years, the world has experienced growing tensions among nations, particularly surrounding nuclear capabilities and the complexities of international relations. These developments have ignited important conversations about the role of leadership and the way religious teachings, especially the Bible, are interpreted in political contexts. Romans 13 tells us that "all authority comes from God," yet most modern leaders are chosen through democratic processes. This raises a profound question: How should Christians understand God’s role in the selection of leaders and the governance of nations? Moreover, is God's plan for the world accomplished through human policies and governments, or through salvation in Christ? Today on ReThinking Beliefs, Emmanuel and Ps. Nathan explore how to reconcile divine authority with the realities of human governance. We'll examine the intersection of faith, voting, media influence, and popular will, considering how to navigate the complexities of democracy while remaining rooted in biblical teachings. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” – 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) Tonight, we align ourselves with God’s purpose, excelling in good works as vessels of His grace and light. We declare by prayer and intercession that every distraction, hindrance, and resistance against our divine assignments is dismantled. This is a gathering of believers unto prayer and intercession. Luke 5:16 tells us that Jesus often withdrew unto prayer even when everyone sought after Him. Jesus didn’t let how busy or needed He was stop Him from a daily fellowship with His Father. Join us every Friday to pray as a body, and personally withdraw unto prayer everyday. In all my years in the church, I’ve heard many sermons on fornication, pornography, and even abortion. But one sin that rarely gets addressed is covetousness. It’s so normalized that many don’t even recognize it as a problem or a sin. I’ve seen people covet other people’s spouse, gifts, and blessings, and it’s often disguised as admiration or sometimes, especially in Charismatic churches, as “tapping” into other people’s blessings. I've realized that there are two things, in particular, that can keep us in prayer yet prevent us from receiving God's grace. One is pride and two is covetousness. https://lnkd.in/eqya-p-a

Today on ReThinking Beliefs, we're tackling a topic that has puzzled believers and skeptics alike for centuries: Why does God seem to bless some people and not others? We've all experienced moments where it feels like the universe is conspiring in our favor, and times when it seems like everything is falling apart. Maybe you've watched a friend breeze through life, while you struggle to catch a break. Or perhaps you've felt guilty about your own success while others around you suffer. These experiences often lead us to question the nature of divine blessings and the fairness of it all. Is God playing favorites? Are some people simply luckier than others? Or is there a deeper meaning behind the apparent inequality we see in the world? Join us on our YouTube and Facebook pages at 4pm GMT to unpack this important topic. #ReThinkYourBeliefs #TheBelieversAvenue Cc: Emmanuel Nathan
