𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲 Walmart is placing a strong emphasis on fashion, home, and beauty as major growth categories. These sectors are poised to benefit from enhanced visibility and strategic initiatives aimed at capturing more market share. 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 -Collectibles Industry: Julie Barber highlighted the massive potential in the collectibles industry, which is valued at $1 trillion. Building anticipation for new product drops is crucial, and Walmart is now offering pre-orders for products. Walmart hosts three "Collector Con" events annually, which have become highly trafficked and sought-after by enthusiasts. To further support this segment, Walmart allows sellers to list products in pre-owned condition with 0% commissions during these events. Notably, the involvement of famous comic artist Seth McFarlane in promoting these events adds to their appeal. -Beauty Category: Silvia Azrai Kawas emphasized the loyalty and frequency of beauty shoppers, noting that premium beauty is the fastest-growing segment within the category. In 2022, Walmart launched its premium beauty initiative, which has since expanded to include over 40 brands, such as DevaCurl and Dry Bar. This segment will now be extended to Walmart Marketplace through an invite-only program, starting with 20 brands and plans to include more. The program will leverage Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) and include 360-degree marketing efforts, featuring dedicated storefronts and enhanced visibility for participating brands. 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 -Pre-Owned Products and Walmart Restore: Julie Barber also introduced "Walmart Restore," a new initiative offering refurbished products for sale. This program has added a premium tier, tapping into the vast community of resellers across multiple categories. The platform already boasts over 5 million products and 1,700 sellers, having gone live just a few days ago. These updates signal Walmart's commitment to expanding its marketplace in key categories while providing sellers with new avenues for growth and customer engagement, particularly as the holiday season approaches. #WalmartSellerSummit #LetsGrow2024 #MarketplaceInnovation #eCommerceExcellence #WalmartGrowth #RetailRevolution #SellerSuccess #WalmartPartners #WalmartCommunity #WalmartSellers

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭: 𝐉𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐲-𝐂𝐨𝐱 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 Jare' Buckley-Cox, Vice President of Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), provided a comprehensive update on the growth and future plans for WFS at the recent Walmart Marketplace Seller Summit. Reflecting on the service's journey, Buckley-Cox noted that WFS was piloted just five years ago and has since grown to become a vital component of Walmart’s marketplace strategy. Currently, two-thirds of Walmart sellers are leveraging WFS, drawn by its competitive rates and efficiency. In 2023 alone, WFS delivered 4.4 billion items, a testament to its scale and effectiveness. To support this growth, Walmart has opened two next-generation fulfillment centers, with a third set to open in Los Angeles. These expansions have doubled the capacity and increased the number of orders WFS can fulfill daily. Looking ahead, Buckley-Cox highlighted several upcoming innovations: 𝑀𝑒𝑟𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝐹𝑢𝑙𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡: Walmart is introducing a program called Multichannel Solutions, which offers merchant fulfillment at rates 15% lower than competitors. This off-site fulfillment option will launch on September 10, just in time for the holiday season. 𝑊𝑎𝑙𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝐶𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑠 𝐵𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚: This new program will allow sellers to ship products directly from manufacturing sites to Walmart fulfillment centers, similar to Amazon's Global Logistics program. Initially, this service will be available for full container shipments only and will now also accept full truckload shipments. Buckley-Cox also touched on the holiday season, announcing that peak season storage fees will go into effect on September 30. This is seen as a timely advantage for sellers, especially in light of Amazon’s recent fee increases. Overall, Buckley-Cox’s presentation highlighted the rapid expansion and ongoing innovation within Walmart Fulfillment Services, positioning it as a competitive and scalable solution for sellers looking to maximize their reach and efficiency, particularly during peak seasons. #WalmartSellerSummit #LetsGrow2024 #MarketplaceInnovation #eCommerceExcellence #WalmartGrowth #RetailRevolution #SellerSuccess

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭: 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭’𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 Darren Carithers, Senior Vice President of International Marketplace and Fulfillment Services at Walmart International, delivered key updates on Walmart's growing international business during the Seller Summit. Carithers highlighted that Walmart's international segment is a $100 billion business, with 20% of that revenue generated digitally. The company is ambitiously aiming to double this digital footprint in the coming years. Carithers acknowledged the challenges sellers have faced with Walmart's international marketplace, particularly issues with the Seller Center, which has been plagued by glitches that complicated the process. In response, Walmart has rolled out a new single login platform with a simple toggle feature, making it easier for sellers to manage their listings across different regions. This platform also introduces improvements in product listing, allowing sellers to list products internationally with just a few clicks, with automatic translations into Spanish and Italian. These new features will be available to sellers within two weeks. In addition, Carithers announced that Walmart Connect's capabilities will soon be available in Mexico, starting with Sponsored Products next week. This expansion provides sellers with more tools to promote their products in the growing Mexican market. Walmart is also extending its fulfillment services across all international territories. A notable addition is the rollout of Remote Fulfillment, similar to Amazon's service, which allows U.S. inventory to be used to fulfill international orders, streamlining the fulfillment process for sellers operating across borders. Carithers' presentation underscored Walmart’s commitment to expanding its international marketplace, making it more accessible and efficient for sellers, and providing new opportunities to reach a global audience. #WalmartSellerSummit #LetsGrow2024 #MarketplaceInnovation #eCommerceExcellence #WalmartGrowth #RetailRevolution #SellerSuccess #WalmartPartners #WalmartCommunity #WalmartSellers

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭: 𝐂𝐌𝐎 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥-𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 William White, Chief Marketing Officer at Walmart, addressed the Seller Summit with a focus on three key marketing strategies aimed at enhancing the shopping experience and driving growth. 𝘋𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭-𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩: White emphasized Walmart's commitment to a digital-first strategy, reintroducing customers to the products they know and love through digital channels. This approach is particularly crucial as Walmart continues to expand its third-party (3P) assortment, a theme consistently highlighted by previous speakers. White noted that Walmart's marketplace now offers 12 times more items than it did last year, underscoring the importance of digital engagement in reaching a broader audience. 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘱: White introduced new initiatives designed to shorten the distance between product discovery and purchase. One of the key innovations is the "Walmart Realm," an immersive shopping experience featuring three themed rooms where customers can explore and purchase products directly. Currently focused on back-to-school items, these rooms will be regularly updated to reflect seasonal and trending products. 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳: White pointed out that social commerce is rapidly growing and is expected to become a $3 billion industry. To capitalize on this trend, Walmart has launched "Walmart Creator," a one-stop platform designed to drive sales and consideration through social commerce. This platform aims to leverage the influence of creators to enhance customer engagement and streamline the shopping process. White's presentation highlighted Walmart's strategic shift towards digital-first marketing, expanding product assortments, and embracing new ways to shop, all aimed at creating a seamless and engaging customer experience. #WalmartSellerSummit #LetsGrow2024 #MarketplaceInnovation #eCommerceExcellence #WalmartGrowth #RetailRevolution #SellerSuccess #WalmartPartners #WalmartCommunity #WalmartSellers

Joel Kocher, HumanN CEO & Co-Founder, discussed their journey in expanding to Walmart.com as a third-party (3P) seller, successfully listing their entire catalog. This move paved the way for a full rollout as a first-party (1P) seller in all Walmart locations, starting with just two SKUs. Gautam Singhania, Director at JeenMata, highlighted the critical support received from Walmart’s senior leadership, which has been essential for scaling their small business. Initially selling exclusively on Walmart, they started with zero sales and are now aiming to convert to a 1P seller. Gautam shared their aggressive approach to driving sales and improving Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), with weekly strategy meetings with their Walmart representative to fine-tune their approach. Alex Zhang, Director at Carote, praised Walmart for providing comprehensive shopper data, customer insights, and direct communication with the Walmart team, which has been invaluable in understanding and building for their customer base. Holiday Preparations: The panel also delved into their strategies for managing inventory and logistics in preparation for the holiday rush. Seth Brown, Channels & Marketing Director at Datavision, promoted the use of SellerCloud to improve demand forecasting and ensure readiness for the peak season. He stressed the importance of planning for the week leading up to Christmas, which can rival Black Friday and Cyber Monday in terms of demand. Alex Zhang echoed these sentiments, explaining how leveraging WFS allows them to stock adequately to meet demand. They acknowledged the risks involved, but with support from the Walmart team, they are able to make informed decisions that help in balancing growth with the challenges of selling at everyday low prices, where low margins and storage fees can significantly impact profitability. Overall, the panel provided valuable insights into scaling on Walmart's platform, emphasizing the importance of data-driven strategies, proactive communication with Walmart’s team, and meticulous holiday preparation to ensure success. #WalmartSellerSummit #LetsGrow2024 #MarketplaceInnovation #eCommerceExcellence #WalmartGrowth #RetailRevolution #SellerSuccess #WalmartPartners #WalmartCommunity #WalmartSellers

Walmart is doubling down on advancements in delivery technology, including drones, super centers, curbside pickup, and the app experience, all designed to create a faster, more adaptable retail experience for customers. Ponce De Leon emphasized that speed and product assortment are central to Walmart's strategy, aiming to offer a personalized and engaging shopping experience. To achieve this, Walmart is calling on sellers to expand the variety of products available, with the goal of building a massive digital catalog that meets the diverse needs of shoppers. In response to seller feedback, Ponce De Leon announced a significant update: Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) will now be expanded to support omnichannel fulfillment, allowing sellers to leverage Walmart's extensive supply chain. This move aims to provide sellers with the capability to fulfill orders, manage returns, and ensure fast, reliable shipments through a system comparable to Amazon's Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF). This enhancement is expected to help sellers offer a seamless experience across multiple sales channels, further integrating Walmart's physical and digital retail ecosystems. Overall, the session underscored Walmart’s commitment to innovation and its reliance on sellers to enrich the product assortment, ensuring that customers have access to a wide range of products through a fast and reliable shopping experience. #WalmartSellerSummit #LetsGrow #MarketplaceInnovation #eCommerceExcellence #WalmartGrowth #RetailRevolution #SellerSuccess #WalmartPartners #WalmartCommunity #WalmartSellers

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭: 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐬 In today's Walmart Marketplace Seller Summit, senior executives outlined their strategy for growing the marketplace, with a strong focus on enhancing seller satisfaction and marketing efforts. The company’s vision centers on becoming the first choice for online shopping, emphasizing everyday low costs, ease of use and profitability for sellers. Trust and efficient shipping were identified as crucial components of this plan. Walmart showcased its Fulfillment Services (WFS) as a significant asset, designed to level the playing field between large and small sellers. With 4,600 stores and 2,300 super centers across the U.S., Walmart noted that 90% of the population lives within 10 miles of one of its locations, providing a logistical advantage that few can match. In addition, the company has approved 97 service providers to assist sellers with setup and marketing and announced new capital programs aimed at providing affordable financing options for businesses. The summit also introduced several new initiatives, including local pickup, same-day delivery, and the "Local Finds" program, which will launch in Dallas, with 1-800-Flowers.com as the first national adopter. These programs are designed to help sellers reach more customers and increase sales through Walmart’s extensive network. Overall, Walmart’s summit conveyed a strong commitment to growing its marketplace and providing sellers with the tools they need to succeed. While the implementation of these initiatives will be key, the strategies outlined offer promising opportunities for sellers looking to expand their presence on the platform. #WalmartSellerSummit #LetsGrow #MarketplaceInnovation #eCommerceExcellence #WalmartGrowth #RetailRevolution #SellerSuccess #WalmartPartners #WalmartCommunity #WalmartSellers
