We are delighted to announce the commencement of development on the new Duneland YMCA Healthy Living Campus project. To ensure the safety of our community, our team alongside the Berglund Construction team has proactively implemented safety measures to prevent any potential risks or airborne dust and debris during this phase of development. We want to assure you that we are closely monitoring the internal process to maintain a safe and secure environment for all. In those efforts, we have secured that: • Impact areas are adequately sealed and closed off • All internal walkways are accessible with no obstructions • Barricades are positioned throughout to give warning of construction areas All Y sponsored programming, camps and activities will be conducted as usual. Those designated areas within the facility have no interaction with the construction areas. Critical damage calls for quick action. Check out the incredible story behind the restoration of St. Edmund Church in Oak Park, IL. After a storm last spring, significant damages impacted now only the historical structure but the entire community. Alongside our partners Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. and Jones & Cleary Roofing & Sheet Metal, we went straight to work with our make-safe plan to immediately repair and restore the church back to its original beauty. We are proud to have collaborated with Winnetka School District 35 to restore the iconic wooden benches in the auditorium of Crow Island School, a national historic landmark. The auditorium features bent plywood benches of various sizes, masterfully designed by Eero Saarinen in 1940. Our skilled carpentry team meticulously repaired these benches, addressing complex bends, matching finishes, and re-adhering loose veneer. Due to our skilled craftsmen, these repairs are virtually indistinguishable, preserving the historical integrity of this landmark.

This milestone signifies the beginning of a project we, as neighbors in the Duneland community, have been waiting for. To be a part of this transformative project and work with such influential leaders in our community has been - and will continue to be - such a rewarding experience.

In honor of the completion of the University of Illinois Foundation's new headquarters, the University of Illinois Philanthropy Center, we take a moment to remember where it all began.

Summer is in full swing, and so are we! This past month has been filled with exciting projects, across the Midwest, that highlight our restoration skills. On Ohio Street, our team is shown preparing for a finishing topping slab pour. Over in Elgin, we've just wrapped up building a retaining wall. We're also breathing new life into a pool deck by removing old tiles and waterproofing, setting the stage for a fresh and updated look with new tiling. And in Gary, we’ve turned a simple vault top into a great café seating area. Stay tuned for updates on these project upgrades!
