At our first #PowerWithPurpose event of the year, volunteers dedicated their afternoon to supporting Feed My Starving Children, an organization committed to delivering nutritious meals to children in need around the world. Together, our Power volunteers packed and distributed 111 boxes, providing 23,760 meals. This effort will ensure 66 children receive a meal every day for an entire year. We are proud to give back, helping provide children with the nutrition they need for a brighter future.

Project Update from Boulder, Colorado— Our PC Treehouse Boulder team—a collaboration between Core Spaces and Power Construction—is making its mark in another iconic city. Designed by Sopher Sparn Architects, this 210,000-sf, three-story building will feature 96 units and luxury amenities, just minutes from the University of Colorado’s campus, downtown Pearl Street, and the Flatirons. Concrete operations are ongoing and will be completed by the end of this month. The team successfully navigated the environmental challenges of working through a Colorado winter, which required extensive snow removal and heating efforts to ensure continuous progress on the concrete work. Wood framing has now begun, with building enclosure to follow by the start of summer. The project is situated between active student housing to the north, an occupied medical office to the east, and a busy intersection to the south and west. A key pedestrian pathway on the west side remains open for student traffic, which requires regular maintenance to ensure safe access for both pedestrians and cyclists. Coordinating material deliveries necessitates precise flagging and overnight work to ensure the safety of both construction workers and the public.

After 26 years of collaborating on industrial projects, we recently completed The Pizzuti Companies' first multifamily high-rise in Chicago. Designed by Goettsch Partners, at 19-stories, Coppia adds 298 rental units to the convergence of the Fulton Market District, Greektown, and the Illinois Medical District. Located on a tight site and flanked by two other residential buildings, the footprint of the building was bisected by South Aberdeen before terminating at the Eisenhower Expressway. In order to close down and eliminate this portion of the street, an in depth safety review was conducted to identify and reroute utilities outside of the building footprint. Distinguished from neighboring buildings, Coppia offers resort-style amenities including a sun deck with swimming pool, expansive outdoor lounge, party room with a full kitchen, 2,200 sf game room, 5,000 sf co-working facility, a dog park with dog spa, and 24-hour concierge service. This month's PE Meeting served as a celebratory and educational workshop for our transition to Autodesk Construction Cloud. We spent the evening exploring the software through six interactive stations. Groups rotated through each, learning how Autodesk Build will streamline project management, improve collaboration, reduce risk, and ultimately enhance project outcomes and client experiences. From better document management to enhanced project tracking, the platform is designed to elevate operations and drive better outcomes across all projects. Thank you to everyone who participated, we appreciate your eagerness to learn! We're excited about the value Autodesk will bring and look forward to future trainings to ensure a smooth transition ahead.

Just blocks away from the University of Michigan, our PC Treehouse Ann Arbor Team—a collaboration between Core Spaces and Power Construction, with Cullen Construction Management as the owner’s representative—is hard at work on a 250,000 sf, 16-story project. Designed by dwell design studio, llc, this exciting development will feature 202 residential units, offering a variety of layouts from studios to six-bedroom options, along with townhomes on the ground level. Currently, concrete pouring has progressed up to level three, including the pad for the skip hoist, which is set to be erected in mid-February. Exterior framing is scheduled to begin later that month. With its proximity to the University, where over 50,000 students live, study, and gather, and a town that attracts more than 100,000 fans to Michigan Stadium on game days, site safety and being a good neighbor remain top priorities. During project planning, our team worked with city officials, neighbors, and property owners to address their concerns and determine how to best reduce the impact in this pedestrian-heavy area. A working platform was installed over the neighboring library's parking lot to maintain patron access. Stay tuned for more updates as this project takes shape!

A highlight of the year, this past weekend our #PowerFamily gathered at Recess/City Hall in the West Loop for our annual company holiday party. It was the perfect chance to step away from work, reconnect with colleagues and enjoy quality time with one another.
