October 15 is National White Cane Safety Day! Established in 1964, this day celebrates independence and mobility for people who are blind or visually impaired by increasing awareness of the White Cane Law. In New Jersey, the #WhiteCaneLaw gives people who are blind and guide dog instructors the right-of-way when crossing highways and intersections. Drivers must yield, even if traffic signals indicate otherwise. By promoting greater driver awareness, the White Cane Law helps make our streets safer for everybody. Join us in celebrating this day and help spread the word about #NationalWhiteCaneSafetyDay! #MobilityTool #NDEAM #Awareness

Yesterday Bestwork kicked off #NDEAM by hosting a “Breakfast in the Dark” event at the DoubleTree Suites of Mount Laurel and attended by members of three Chambers of Commerce. Camden County Regional Chamber of Commerce Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey Chamber members enjoyed a plated breakfast and networking while blindfolded and gained perspective on how people who are blind or visually impaired eat their meals. Members of our staff who helped plan and coordinate the event served as table captains. In these roles, they were able to offer tips and tricks on navigating the meal, while also sharing their stories, and answering any questions from those at their tables. Talk about impactful! Thank you to everyone who attended this morning - we hope you enjoyed the experience! (Psssst: Save the Date: October 2, 2025 – Bestwork’s First Dining in the Dark!) #EducationAndCommunityInsight #DiningInTheDark #BestworkEmployeesExcel
