Beyond-Impact applies a neurodiverse lens to enterprise-wide policies, practices, products, and services closing systemic barriers that negatively affect employees, products, markets, and customers. Our team brings lived and learned neurodiversity and disability D.E.I.A. experience, successfully building neurodiversity and disability inclusion programs for Fortune 500s. We meaningfully partner with organizations to implement proven D.E.I.A. strategies unleashing the power of the entire talent pool into your organization, products, markets, customers, and communities. The Great Resignation, dwindling talent pools, financial underperformance, and negative brand experience result from systemic barriers in organizational culture. Organizational readiness for neurodiverse and disability inclusion results in greater access for all marginalized communities by addressing the root causes of systemic barriers. Using a Neurodiverse Lens across the Enterprise allows companies to look at their current: • policies, • practices, • products, • services, and • systems through the experience of a neurodiverse and disabled person. Through this lens, Beyond-Impact brings deep, personal, and business experience to build strategies and identify the systemic barriers blocking true diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. We provide services touching upon the entire enterprise infrastructure, training your team to sustain more inclusive approaches, and changing the DNA of your office culture to be truly inclusive. Talk to us We recognize the power of diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (D.E.I.A.) and more importantly, we know neurodiversity and disability inclusion will give your company an even greater competitive edge. When we succeed in neurodiversity and disability inclusion, your company will have a more welcoming culture of equitable opportunities for all disenfranchised communities, and a better bottom line. We are delighted to be on this journey with you.

Delighted to see Haley Moss, Esq. and Neil Barnett featured in The New York Times. I truly wish we didn’t have to keep convincing companies, hiring managers, human resources and talent acquisition that one size fits all is as much of a myth as Santa. #InclusiveHiring #autism #Neurodivergence #HR #TA #DEIA #DisabilityPride https://lnkd.in/exRcxeer

It was a special week at Hearst as we were able to join so many like-minded individuals (including our partner Tara Cunningham at Beyond Impact) interested in creating neuroinclusive workplaces. Thank you Isabel F., David Carey, and Hearst for hosting the Hearst Neurodiversity at Work Breakfast, and to all the companies that came out to learn about Hearst’s neuroninclusion journey. One best practice we highlight to companies implementing a Neurodiversity@Work program is to have a strong program manager. Someone who can be an accessible and accountable point of contact, work across internal teams, and provide insights into company culture and process. Isabel F. has met that description and more. Thank you Isabel for all your efforts and our thanks to all those that have supported her. #neurodiversityintheworkplace #neuroinclusion #equityandinclusion

Hearst and Hearst Magazines under David Carey and Isabel F. leadership shows the world how intentionality in neuroinclusion brings more benefits than what you read in the Harvard Business Review. :) Integrate Autism Employment Advisors Joshin #NeurodiversityInclusion #DEIA #ESG #DoThis

I am thrilled to have witnessed Hearst and Hearst Magazines share their inspiring journey into #neuroinclusion with colleagues across #NYC. David Carey and Isabel F. hosted a Neurodiversity@Work discussion, taking a fresh perspective through the #Benefits team and Joshin. Typically, neuroinclusion discussions focus on #management, #inclusion, #BusinessTransformation, #ProfessionalDevelopment, and #productivity. However, this unique approach highlighted the #intentionality of their efforts. Over nearly two years, I've partnered with Hearst, witnessing their comprehensive and meticulous approach. Under David's leadership, Isabel spearheaded the momentum, integrating every sector within this massive company, including #HR, #TA, #risk, #communications, #onboarding, #retention, #benefits, #ManagerTraining, #TeamTraining, #accessibility, and reviewing and updating their #policies and #practices. Once systems were established, we brought in the experts from Integrate Autism Employment Advisors to source and assist Hearst in onboarding neuroinclusive talent. Tracy Powell-Rudy M.S., Amanda Marino, and their team collaborated brilliantly with the organization and managers, creating phenomenal opportunities for all. Describing Hearst as a dream partner to Beyond Impact is an understatement. They have truly rewritten the book on how to be a neuroinclusive organization. Image description: Right, Isabel speaking at the front is holding a microphone and a paper, standing near a large screen displaying the title "Neurodiversity@ Work." The date on the screen is May 21st, 2024. The room has modern decor with wooden paneling and contemporary office chairs. Bottles of water and notepads are on the table, and a full room of people in a discussion setting. Ableism places people with non-apparent conditions in an impossible situation. We can try blending in and not disclosing, even if this puts us at risk of worsening health. Or we can disclose and potentially face accusations of lying, exaggerating, attention-seeking, or generally being an inconvenience. And I have not even mentioned the blatant bullying yet, or having our disclosure weaponized against us. 😢 We accommodate others’ desire for comfort by hiding and downplaying our discomfort – only to be accused or exaggerating anyway. It seems that the very thought of disability is an “inconvenience.” 😢 Ableism places a tremendous burden on the already burdened. We have to figure out how to advocate for ourselves … ideally, in ways that would not trigger accusations of exaggerating… while doing more work than others to override stereotypes… Now try doing all that extra work with an energy-draining condition like Long Covid. Or depression. While navigating both medical and organizational bureaucracy and inaccessible accessibility systems. So I tried to alleviate at least some of the cognitive and emotional burden of navigating disclosure by providing some tips in this article. It took me over a year, on and off, to work through the emotional labor of writing this. I have no illusion of how much work still needs to be done to create disability-inclusive organizations. But I am glad this article came together for the special Big Idea collection on chronic illness and made the front page of HBR. See links and additional resources below! #Disability #inclusion #MentalHealth #ChronicIllness #LongCovid #depression #DisabilityInclusion #neurodiversity #accomodations #emotion
